Hortindex was formed by a group of industry people who recognised a gap in the marketplace, where every day consumers can quickly and efficiently access horticultural information online. Central to all enterprises doing business in Horticulture is plants – we aim to establish and maintain the largest community contributed database of plants and cultivars available for public and business use.

Hortindex is primarily a trade site for businesses to communicate and reach into previously unavailable markets.

Hortindex is designed to allow horticultural related businesses to find each other and network, consumers to find horticultural goods and services near them and promote greater cooperation between Australian and New Zealand businesses.
